Dr. Sepi Sefy – Earth Healer Animal Sanctuary

Tell us a bit about your business?

I’m a Naturopathic Doctor, Phytotherapist & indigenous Medicine Woman; specialising in Ayurvedic, Traditional Chinese, and Western Herbal Medicine alongside of Holistic Massage, Reiki, Shamanic Treatments, Sound Healing and Yoga Therapy. The clinic sits on Earth Healer Animal Sanctuary and all proceeds of Sacred Practices such as Yoga, Meditation classes and Retreats are the bloodline of the sanctuary, as Buddhists we are not allowed to profit from sacred practices.

What inspired you to start your business?

The love of healing the Earth and all its habitants.

Why did you choose to offer a discount to Vegan Society of Ireland members?

To encourage people to join this fantastic movement.

What does veganism mean to you and to your business?

Veganism creates peace no matter where you are, on our sanctuary and clinic we promote a peaceful life where we are all equal and live in harmony with one another. In Buddhism it is said “you cannot cause chaos in someone’s life and expect peace in yours”.  I would go a step further and say you can not take a life indirectly (by purchasing their dead bodies and creating demand) and expect to live a long healthy life.

Can you share a success story or a challenge that you have overcome as a business?

We have had many patients who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and given short while to live, not wanting to die they chose to go the natural route, upon going vegan at our advice alongside of their naturopathic treatment they were able to go into remission and fully recover. Proving their conventional doctors and specialised physicians wrong, that it wasn’t time for them to die.

Of all the vegan products and services you offer, what is your favourite and why?

Mind, Body Spirit treatment is a two hour treatment by our naturopathic doctor and indigenous medicine woman who can take you on a journey of healing from within; treatment includes full body massage, sound healing, reiki, Indian head massage, shamanic drumming, meditation and even a medicinal tea. It’s the only type of treatment so unique not available anywhere else in ireland or the UK!

How do you see the future of veganism in relation to your business?

We’d like to see the whole world go vegan, and of course, it’s great for us too.  At the sanctuary we take in many animals from other animal agriculture farms in terrible condition. We’d like to see a change in that.  A change from farming animals to farming vegetables.
